Do you work in the Netherlands through Promopolitan and come from abroad? Then you may be required to take out Dutch health insurance. This depends on your personal situation and whether you work in the Netherlands alongside your studies.
When do you need Dutch health insurance?
If you work in the Netherlands and get paid for this, in many cases you are obliged to take out Dutch health insurance. This also applies to foreign students who have a part-time job. The obligation depends, among other things, on the number of hours you work and your residence status.
The Dutch government determines whether you are liable for insurance.
